Professionally, Ohene mostly does highlife music. This is the music that is identified with by his country Ghana. It uses the melodic and main rhythmic structures of traditional Akan music and Kpanlogo Music of the Ga people but is played with Western instruments. Highlife is characterized by jazzy horns and multiple guitars which lead the band. Recently it has acquired an uptempo, synth-driven sound.
Ohene Music loves doing music cos he knows within him that is his passion. It is what makes him happy and it is the best way he can simply express himself and send his message across to the world. He believes real highlife music has been on the decline with the emergence of different genres of music in the Ghanaian music industry and hopes to work hard enough to make the Ghanaian people love their highlife music once again and to sell his music to the world.
